Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive planning, organization, and execution of diverse events for a prominent law firm, including internal and external client events, collaborations, and trade show appearances. The Event Manager will independently handle all administrative and organizational tasks, such as invitation and guest management, on-site support, budget planning, and post-event follow-up. Key responsibilities also include coordinating internal stakeholders and external service providers, developing event communications for digital channels (website, newsletters), and researching suitable venues and vendors (caterers, technical services). The ideal candidate possesses a degree or vocational training in event management, coupled with at least two years of professional experience, ideally within a business law firm or consulting environment. This position offers a dynamic environment, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute creatively to the firm's event formats in Cologne.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Event or Venue Management, or completed vocational training as an Event Management Specialist (Veranstaltungskaufmann/-frau), or equivalent qualification
Experience
- At least two years of professional experience in the event sector
- Experience ideally in a business law firm, consulting company, or comparable organization
