Job Summary

This role involves working as a Laboratory Technician for a municipal long-distance water supply and service company in Southern Saxony, focusing heavily on water analysis and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently conducting physical, chemical-physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses, including sampling and preparation, following relevant standards and regulations. A key focus area is Microbiology, Biology, and Toxicity testing. Day-to-day tasks include data entry, processing, interpretation of results, identifying deviations from specifications, and performing complex analyses using specialized techniques. The position also requires maintaining, calibrating, and caring for laboratory equipment, implementing quality assurance measures, and potentially supervising and instructing junior staff. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of 2028, starting in February 2026, offering a 39-hour work week and competitive benefits based on a company collective agreement.
