Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Scientific Researcher to undertake a DFG-funded Doctoral Project (PhD) within the Institute for Molecular Biology at the Hannover Medical School (MHH). The core focus is investigating the molecular control mechanisms governing the development, maintenance, and regeneration of the highly specialized urothelium (epithelium of the urinary tract). Day-to-day work involves applying a broad spectrum of advanced techniques, including pharmacological manipulation in explant cultures, conditional gene inactivation/activation in vivo, and detailed analysis using transcriptomics and ChIP techniques. Candidates must hold a Master's or Diploma degree in a bioscience field and demonstrate a strong interest in developmental and molecular biology research. Prior knowledge of molecular, embryological, or animal experimental techniques is highly desirable.
