Job Summary

This role is pivotal in developing a new Telematics business unit, focusing on project implementation and hardware expertise. The Electrical Engineering Technician will primarily be responsible for implementing project-specific solutions, particularly in fiber optic technology. Day-to-day tasks include managing and supervising construction sites, acting as the primary technical contact throughout project execution, overseeing installation activities, and commissioning hardware. A critical component of the role involves geo-referencing and setting up the data pipeline, requiring continuous collaboration with Technical Services, Product Management, and Digital Solutions teams. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in electrical engineering or electronics, multi-year professional experience in fiber optics and telecommunications, and a high degree of willingness to travel internationally (at least 80%).
