Job Summary

The Teltow-Fläming district is seeking a dedicated GIS Administration Specialist to join the Office for Digitalization and Information Technology in Luckenwalde. This role is crucial for designing, building, administering, and advancing all Geographic Information Systems (GIS) used by the district administration. Day-to-day tasks involve maintaining and developing automated administrative procedures in collaboration with specialized departments, managing GIS system installations, and actively participating in regional working groups concerning GIS matters. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Geoinformatics, Geodesy, Cartography, Administrative Informatics, or Computer Science with extensive GIS experience. Essential technical skills include database administration (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL), familiarity with WebOffice WebGIS solutions, and deep knowledge of Windows and Linux server/client systems, coupled with virtualization technologies. This permanent, full-time position (39 hours/week, part-time possible) offers flexible working hours, the opportunity for home office after the probationary period, and competitive public sector compensation (TVöD-VKA EG 11).
