Job Summary

This crucial role involves managing the administrative and procurement lifecycle for IT resources within the local government's IT and Digitalization Department. Day-to-day tasks include handling the procurement and inventory of IT hardware, software, and accessories, particularly for devices under the formal procurement threshold. A significant part of the job is managing contract agreements, including EVB-IT contracts for purchasing, rental, and support services. Furthermore, the specialist supports departmental financial operations by assisting with budget planning, internal service cost allocation (ILV), and billing external services. Candidates must have a strong administrative or commercial background, ideally complemented by experience in IT procurement and contract management, and a willingness to rapidly acquire expertise in public procurement, data protection, and budgetary law. This position offers an unlimited contract within a meaningful public service environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte(r)) or Angestelltenlehrgang I; or qualification for the 2nd Entry Level of Career Group 1. Alternatively: Completed commercial training or comparable qualification with proven in-depth knowledge in IT procurement and contract management; or training as a Social Security Specialist, Judicial Specialist, or Specialist for Labor Market Promotion.

Experience

  • Professional experience in municipal administration (desirable)
  • Multi-year professional experience in legal application (desirable)
  • At least twenty years of professional experience with a public or comparable employer (alternative qualification route)
