Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the smooth, continuous operation of the technical facilities at the European Hansemuseum, a major cultural institution in Northern Germany. The technician will primarily focus on building and plant technology, with occasional support for exhibition technology during weekend shifts. Key responsibilities include coordinating external service providers for maintenance and repairs, developing and updating maintenance documentation and schedules, and actively participating in technical projects, including the development of future-oriented energy concepts. Candidates must have a completed technical education in plant or building technology, strong technical understanding, and excellent IT skills. The position requires flexibility for shift work, including approximately one weekend per month, and a proactive, team-oriented, hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in plant or building technology, preferably specializing in safety-related facilities (ELA, SAA, SiBe, BMA) or HVAC, cooling, ventilation, and sanitary technology
Experience
- Professional experience in a museum or similar object building as an operator or planner
- Experience coordinating external service providers for maintenance and repairs

- Willingness to work shifts (7 AM - 6 PM), including weekends (approximately one weekend per month) and occasionally evenings
