Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer specializing in the service and commissioning of high-power frequency converters, primarily used in induction applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include factory testing, DGUV inspections of converters, and the commissioning of complete systems at customer sites both nationally and internationally. The engineer will also take on site management for complex projects, perform essential modification, repair, and maintenance tasks, and conduct customer training sessions, alongside providing online technical consultation. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with a focus on Power Electronics, proficiency in analog and digital circuitry, and basic knowledge of industrial control electronics (PLC/SPS). The position demands customer orientation, teamwork, and flexibility, with a significant requirement for worldwide travel (approximately 50% of the time in short assignments).

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics; Technician graduate with relevant professional experience also considered

Experience

  • Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics (Power Electronics or General Electrical Engineering) or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in a relevant technical field (for graduates and technicians)
  • Experience with testing and commissioning complex induction technical systems
