Job Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Materials Tester to join a client in Plettenberg on a permanent contract. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the critical task of material quality assurance, including taking samples from production batches and preparing metallographic sections. The successful candidate will perform various materials tests, meticulously document results, and generate detailed test reports. A key component of the job is assessing material quality against established standards and participating in root cause analysis for material defects in components. To qualify, candidates must have completed vocational training as a Materials Tester or possess equivalent qualifications, demonstrate strong knowledge of testing procedures and standards, and be proficient in using specialized testing software, ERP systems, and measurement data acquisition tools.
