Job Summary
This role is ideal for a dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technician seeking to apply their expertise in chemical and biological analysis to actively ensure water quality and environmental standards. The professional will be responsible for conducting routine chemical and biological analyses, primarily focusing on water quality monitoring, and performing sample preparation, including mechanical and chemical digestion procedures for matrices such as wastewater, soil, sewage sludge, and waste. A key part of the job involves the analytical control and evaluation of sewage treatment plant processes and assessing the ecological status of surface waters. This full-time, permanent position, located in a modern laboratory in Meerbusch (Düsseldorf region), offers regulated daytime working hours without shift work, providing a stable and attractive environment within a leading municipal environmental operation.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) or comparable qualification (e.g., CTA, UTA, BTA, Chemikant). Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is desirable.
Experience
- Practical experience in chemical and biological analyses
- Experience in sewage treatment plant monitoring or environmental analysis (ideal)
- Knowledge in processing matrices such as wastewater, soil, sewage sludge, and waste
