Job Summary

This role involves shaping and operating the core Analytics Data Platform within the Digital & Technology team, focusing on building modern, scalable infrastructure to enhance the productivity of Analytics, Data, and AI teams. The Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing, extending, and operating new platform services, primarily utilizing Kubernetes and GCP-based infrastructure in both cloud and hybrid environments. A key part of the role is consistent automation, including developing robust CI/CD pipelines and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform. Furthermore, the engineer will act as a consultant, supporting colleagues with architecture questions, performance optimization, and troubleshooting, while also developing best practices and technical standards for data infrastructure. Success requires a strong background in developing data infrastructure using languages like Golang or Python, deep familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes), and excellent communication skills in both German and English to convey complex technical topics across all organizational levels.
