Job Summary

This role involves joining an agile team at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching, focusing on the design, implementation, and testing of safety-critical real-time software. The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for developing embedded applications and low-level platform software for Flight Control Computers (FCCs). Key responsibilities include software reviews, comprehensive documentation of software architecture and design, and supporting the planning of software increments. A critical part of the job is requirements engineering, involving the analysis of stakeholder needs, specification of actionable requirements compliant with quality criteria, and managing requirement changes and allocation. The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, professional experience in embedded systems, and strong knowledge of C and ADA, coupled with expertise in safety-critical standards like ED-12C/DO-178C and experience with Model-based System Design.
