Job Summary

The Senior Toxicologist will join the Nonclinical Safety Global Project Strategy and Science (PSS) team, focusing on planning and overseeing nonclinical safety programs for drug candidates from discovery through market authorization. This role involves developing and implementing robust nonclinical safety strategies for a diverse portfolio, including new modalities, small and large molecules, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Day-to-day activities include analyzing toxicology and safety pharmacology data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and authoring critical nonclinical safety sections for regulatory documents. The ideal candidate requires an advanced scientific degree, significant experience in a pharmaceutical project environment, and a solid understanding of drug development workflows and regulatory guidelines, making this a pivotal role in advancing healthcare solutions globally.

Required Skills

Education

Advanced scientific degree (DVM, PhD in Life Sciences, Toxicology, Biology, or Physiology). Certification in Toxicology or Pharmacology and Toxicology is desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years in a pharmaceutical project environment
  • Professional experience with drug development and discovery processes and workflows
  • Professional experience in toxicology and safety pharmacology
  • Experience preparing submission documentation and familiarity with health authority interactions (advantageous)
  • Expertise in Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) or new modalities (plus)
