Job Summary

This critical management role involves leading the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM I) function for rail vehicles, ensuring compliance with EU Directives (2016/798) and implementing regulations (2019/779). The incumbent will manage and represent Siemens Mobility's interests regarding the ECM scope internally and externally, engaging with specialist bodies and interest groups. Key responsibilities include ensuring comprehensive reporting and documentation from subordinate ECM functions (II, III, IV), optimizing ECM processes for efficiency and audit security, and steering the international ECM community, particularly across European service contracts. This position requires an expert in rail vehicle commissioning or maintenance, strong stakeholder management skills, and deep knowledge of relevant European and German railway legislation, offering a chance to drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes globally.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical or commercial Master's degree

Experience

  • Long-term experience and expert knowledge in the commissioning or maintenance (including standardization) of rail vehicles
  • Experience in the legally compliant design of management systems
  • Customer experience with operators/railway undertakings and experience gained in corresponding projects
  • Extensive experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders (customers, subsidiaries, partners, workshops, auditors)
