Job Summary

This role is centered on the critical automation of configurations, updates, and installations for devices, operating systems, and application programs within the military Information and Communication Technology (ICT) domain. The specialist will be responsible for creating automated configuration scripts for systems that operate without internet access, developing automated installation routines for application programs and extensions, and building robust automated tests complete with detailed result logging. A key component of the job involves supporting system and acceptance tests, often on-site with military clients. Candidates must possess a strong background, such as an IT Specialist qualification or a Computer Science degree, coupled with expert knowledge in Windows and Python. Essential experience includes network configuration (NTP), IT security (Firewall), and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP). The position requires frequent travel (2-3 times per month) and demands negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English to effectively liaise with customers and stakeholders.
