Job Summary

This Master Thesis position focuses on developing an AI-based analysis model aimed at cost optimization and algorithmic decision support within Global Category Management. The core task involves creating an AI solution that automatically reads complex PDF offer documents, extracts relevant data, and stores it in a database for subsequent evaluation. Building upon a previous feasibility study, the student will analyze existing results, propose suitable machine learning methods, program the AI solution, build the required database and interfaces, and conduct thorough testing and validation. This is a highly practical project offering direct business value, providing the student with the opportunity to integrate the solution into existing procurement processes and gain insight into global purchasing and innovative technologies, working alongside experienced colleagues in Digital Manufacturing & IoT.
