Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Technician to actively contribute to the energy transition by working with renewable energy generation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including inspection, troubleshooting, and routine repairs, across PV, hydro, and wind power plants. They will also coordinate external companies and ensure quality acceptance. After a successful switching authorization exam, the technician will assume plant responsibility and perform switching operations on low and high voltage systems. This position involves emergency and breakdown services, including on-call duty, and offers the chance to independently propose and implement improvements to enhance plant availability. It's an ideal role for a proactive individual passionate about renewable energy and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the maintenance of industrial and power plants or in plant construction
- Experience in the maintenance of photovoltaic, wind, or hydropower plants is advantageous
- Experience in medium and high voltage systems is advantageous
- Basic knowledge of network technology is advantageous
Languages
Additional
- Class B driving license required; Willingness to perform work at heights; Willingness to perform emergency and breakdown services, including on-call duty; Successful completion of switching authorization exam (post-hire); Ability to work in Vienna, Austria.
