Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, focusing on the research and development of particulate materials. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for the largely independent procurement, synthesis, and comprehensive physical, chemical, and functional evaluation of particles, including nano and micro magnetic particles across various reactor scales. Key duties involve planning and executing complex laboratory experiments, rigorous documentation according to Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines, and presenting findings to the team. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Biotechnology, or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Expertise in particle manufacturing, handling, and characterization, coupled with strong laboratory skills and adherence to chemical safety regulations, is essential for success in this challenging and critical R&D function.
