Job Summary

As a PLC Programmer, you will be instrumental in developing, expanding, and optimizing PLC programs for advanced machinery, systems, and automation solutions, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and future-readiness. Your role involves bringing systems to life by commissioning plants both in-house and at customer sites, conducting functional tests, adjusting control sequences, and ensuring stable operations from day one. You'll also be responsible for analyzing existing controls, identifying error sources, and implementing targeted optimization measures to maximize plant availability and process reliability. Meticulous documentation of programs and changes, along with supporting the creation of operating and maintenance manuals, is key. This role requires close collaboration with electrical design, mechanical engineering, and technical service teams to realize sophisticated automation concepts. The ideal candidate will have a background in automation, electrical engineering, or mechatronics, possess strong PLC programming skills (e.g., Siemens S7, TIA Portal, CoDeSys), and be proficient in German.
