Job Summary
This role is for a skilled Chemical Technician or Process Plant Operator to join the Production department, focusing on the optimal control and supervision of complex process flows within the facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating production equipment from the control room after thorough training, adjusting plant parameters during product changes, and performing independent fault analysis and troubleshooting during plant disruptions. The ideal candidate will also conduct routine maintenance tasks, prepare plant sections for repairs, and perform essential sampling and quality analyses. A key requirement is a successfully completed apprenticeship as a Chemical Technician or equivalent qualification, coupled with a willingness to work in a continuous shift system. Strong IT skills, a high degree of safety and quality awareness, and excellent teamwork abilities are essential for success in this demanding production environment. Furthermore, participation in the internal company fire brigade, requiring respiratory protection fitness, is mandatory.
Required Skills
Education
Completed apprenticeship as a Chemical Technician (Chemikant) or comparable qualification. Further training as an Industrial Master (Industriemeister) is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience
- Professional experience in a comparable environment (desirable)
- Experience working in continuous shift operations
- Experience performing work under heavy respiratory protection
