Job Summary

This critical role involves managing the entire bank-wide project portfolio, overseeing the process from strategic planning and implementation controlling through to success evaluation. The Project Portfolio Manager is responsible for comprehensive operational steering, ensuring efficient and transparent resource allocation, and managing procurement processes for both internal and external resources. Key responsibilities include creating and presenting regular reports on project status, risks, budgets, and dependencies to top management, while actively driving the continuous development of portfolio structures, methods, tools, and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Business Administration or a related field, coupled with solid professional experience in project portfolio management, preferably within the financial services sector, demonstrating strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills to effectively coach project leads and manage high-level stakeholders.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field; alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship with relevant further training

Experience

  • Substantial professional experience in project portfolio management or steering complex projects
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience in managing IT and/or regulatory projects (ideally)
  • Experience in procurement processes (ideally)
