Job Summary
This role involves joining a long-established, family-run mechanical engineering firm specializing in non-cutting sheet metal processing machinery. The PLC Programmer will be responsible for developing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for sheet metal processing systems, including designing and programming comprehensive safety concepts. Key day-to-day tasks include configuring and commissioning various drive systems, such as frequency converters and servos, and performing initial system commissioning both in-house and directly at the end customer's site. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Computer Science, or an equivalent technical qualification, and brings professional experience in PLC programming and automation. Good knowledge of C and Structured Text (ST) is required, along with conceptual thinking and a solution-oriented approach.
