This role as a Laboratory Support Technician involves providing comprehensive technical and operational assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory activities. Day-to-day tasks include operating, cleaning, and maintaining lab equipment, performing routine checks, calibrations, and functional tests on instruments to ensure accuracy, and preparing various laboratory solutions like buffers, reagents, and wash solutions according to strict protocols. A key responsibility is managing consumables through ordering, tracking, and inventory control, as well as the safe handling and disposal of chemical and pharmaceutical waste, maintaining safety documentation. The ideal candidate possesses technical training in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, strong attention to detail, and professional experience in a lab-based role routinely handling chemicals and reagents.
