Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Process Engineer specializing in the planning, conception, and optimization of new and existing plant facilities within the Chemical and Food industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing P&ID flow diagrams, performing complex process calculations for optimal plant layout, and generating technical data sheets for critical equipment like pumps and heat exchangers. A significant part of the role involves project management tasks, such as cost estimation, tender requests, scheduling, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Furthermore, the engineer is responsible for regulatory compliance, including creating documentation according to legal requirements and preparing BImSchG (Federal Immission Control Act) documents for approval procedures. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Process or Chemical Engineering, possesses strong knowledge of process engineering principles, and has experience utilizing simulation software. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and conceptualizing new plants, repairs, and modifications in the chemical and food industries
  • Experience with process engineering calculations for optimal plant design
  • Experience drafting P&ID flow diagrams
  • Experience with simulation software (ChemCad experience is desirable)
