Job Summary
This role involves preparing and producing microelectronic products on high-tech Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines. The SMT Operator will be responsible for orienting their work based on manufacturing documentation, performing manual soldering of electronic components, and controlling and manually reworking machine-soldered joints. A core function is quality control of manufactured assemblies, including documenting any defects. Furthermore, the operator will collaborate with team members to optimize and create production processes and machine programs. Ideal candidates possess a technical vocational qualification, preferably in electronics, along with professional experience in SMT manufacturing and soldering. Proficiency in creating programs for SMT placement lines, paste printers, soldering systems, and AOI systems is highly valued. This position requires excellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the willingness to work in a two-shift system (early and late shifts).
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training, ideally in electronics. Certified IPC Specialist according to IPC-A-610 is a plus.
Experience
- Relevant professional experience in SMT manufacturing
- Knowledge of SMT soldering
- Profound knowledge in programming SMT placement lines, paste printers, soldering systems, and/or AOI systems
