Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technician or Assistant focused on environmental analysis within an accredited laboratory setting. You will primarily be responsible for the elemental determination of various sample materials, including soils, construction debris, sludge, and water samples (drinking, ground, and wastewater). Day-to-day tasks involve preparing diverse solid and liquid samples using specified digestion methods (e.g., aqua regia digestion), performing measurements, and evaluating the results. A core component of the job is operating advanced measuring systems, mainly based on ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry), to detect environmentally relevant heavy metals and trace contaminants. While prior lab experience is beneficial, comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, making this suitable for individuals with a background in natural sciences who possess a high degree of commitment, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
