Job Summary
This position offers the opportunity to support cutting-edge research and teaching within the field of Solid Construction and Structural Engineering. The Technical Staff Member will be integral to the operation of unique, large-scale experimental facilities, most notably the worldwide unique Computed Tomography Portal Gulliver, used for examining large structural components under load. Day-to-day responsibilities involve working in modern laboratories and halls, utilizing extensive experimental equipment, large testing machines, and fire furnaces, applying modern measurement and imaging techniques. The role directly contributes to the department's goal of advancing sustainable planning and construction, focusing on reduced CO2 emissions and resource consumption across diverse areas including reinforced concrete, bridge construction, and masonry.
