Job Summary

This pivotal role involves leading the standardization and certification efforts for digital ticketing systems within Germany's public transport sector (ÖPNV). The Head of Standardization & Certification will report directly to the management, taking overall technical responsibility for the VDV standard, driving its strategic design, and ensuring its continuous development. Day-to-day tasks include managing the specifications of VDV-Kernapplikation (KA) and (((etiCORE, preparing and moderating the Standardization Working Group (AG-S), and overseeing the Change Request procedure. The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of technical standards, thrive in politically and regulatorily influenced environments, and represent the organization's interests in national and international bodies (ISO, CEN, DIN, STA). This position requires strong communication, diplomatic skill, and a commitment to actively shaping the future of digital public transport.
