Job Summary

This role is for a Research Associate to join a major university of applied sciences in Munich, focusing on the 'Systemic Design of the Energy Transition in Municipalities' project. The associate will take a leading role as a modeling and data expert, responsible for conducting building physics simulations to determine the heat demand of buildings and neighborhoods, performing data analysis using semantic 3D city models (e.g., CityGML, GeoJSON), and calculating municipal energy demands across electricity, heat, and mobility sectors. Key qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field (Energy and Building Technology, Geoinformatics, Statistics, or Data Engineering), expertise in handling large datasets and statistical evaluation within geoinformatics, and fluency in both German and English.
