Job Summary
This role is ideal for an engaged Electrical Design Engineer eager to shape the future of industrial research and technology, focusing on innovative automation projects like collaborative robotics and machine tools. The core responsibilities involve developing complete electrical hardware projects based on regional customer requirements, encompassing schematic creation, bill of materials generation, and control cabinet design. You will oversee the technical aspects of assembly and commissioning, both in-house and on-site. A critical component of the job is ensuring full compliance with the Machinery Directive, conducting thorough risk assessments, maintaining functional safety, and optimizing costs while adhering to industry standards. Success requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation and multi-year professional experience, particularly using Eplan P8 for control cabinet project planning, coupled with knowledge of CNC and automation control systems (preferably Siemens), Pneumatics, and Hydraulics. This position offers varied, self-directed work in demanding projects with flexible hours and a high degree of personal creative freedom.

University or Technical College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent
Experience
- Multi-year professional experience in creating schematic documentation using Eplan P8
- Multi-year professional experience in control cabinet project planning
- Professional experience in technical project oversight (assembly and commissioning)
