Job Summary
The City of Brühl is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to take on a Project Management role within the Sewer and Road Construction division. This is a crucial, full-time, permanent position focused on coordinating and professionally guiding complex infrastructure projects through all nine phases of the HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers). Day-to-day tasks include preliminary planning, cost estimation, preparing tender documents, managing procurement processes, overseeing construction execution (including site management), and handling final documentation and administrative closure. The role requires strong coordination skills, liaising with utility providers, authorities, citizens, and external engineering firms. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Urban Water Management, Road Construction, or Construction Operations, and demonstrate high levels of team capability, responsibility, and communication skills to effectively manage public participation and conflict resolution.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Dipl.-Ing./Master/Bachelor) in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Urban Water Management, Road Construction, or Construction Operations. Proof of equivalence for foreign degrees is required.
Experience
- Professional experience (Desirable)
- Experience in coordinating and managing construction projects through all 9 phases of HOAI
- Experience in preparing tender documents and evaluating expert reports
- Experience in managing public relations and citizen involvement in projects
