Job Summary
This Senior Embedded Systems Engineer role is crucial for developing a new generation of intelligent, mechatronic mobility systems, specifically focusing on electric drive solutions for people with disabilities. The mission involves building the entire embedded and electronics platform, from initial modeling to final serial architecture. Day-to-day tasks include designing and developing embedded systems, focusing heavily on motor control (BLDC), power electronics, and sensor technology. A core responsibility is utilizing Model-based Development tools like MATLAB/Simulink for control models and generating auto-code. Candidates must possess a strong system understanding of mechatronic products and expertise in control engineering. This position offers the unique opportunity to define and scale a completely new product category with significant societal impact, working in a pragmatic and autonomous environment.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or equivalent
Experience
- Several years of experience in embedded development
- Strong system understanding of mechatronic products
- Experience with motor control, power electronics, and control engineering
- Experience with Model-based Development (ideally)
- Understanding of state machines
