Job Summary

This Project Manager role is situated within the Recultivation Research Center, responsible for RWE Power’s ecological initiatives, including the biodiversity strategy, nature conservation, and sustainable structural change in the Rhenish lignite mining area. The manager will primarily oversee projects related to ecological construction support, coordinating external partner firms, and managing operational measures. Key responsibilities also include maintaining regular communication with planning offices and stakeholders, contributing to public relations, and collaborating on diverse recultivation and biodiversity issues. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, or a related interdisciplinary field, and possesses proven expertise in biodiversity, species, and habitat management. This is a challenging, full-time, two-year fixed-term position offering significant responsibility in future-oriented projects related to responsible mine closure and land development.
