Day-to-day responsibilities include steering external development partners, defining technical milestones, and ensuring adherence to strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements. The specialist is responsible for component management, monitoring the supply chain for EOL/PCN announcements, and defining rigorous quality and functional testing protocols, including support for certifications (CE, RoHS). Success requires a degree in a relevant engineering field and significant professional experience in hardware or embedded development, coupled with strong communication and supplier management skills.
