Job Summary
This crucial role involves technical Product Ownership and lifecycle management for cutting-edge hardware and embedded systems utilized by leading cultural, historical, and scientific institutions across Europe. Day-to-day responsibilities include steering external development partners, defining technical milestones, and ensuring adherence to strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements. The specialist is responsible for component management, monitoring the supply chain for EOL/PCN announcements, and defining rigorous quality and functional testing protocols, including support for certifications (CE, RoHS). Success requires a degree in a relevant engineering field and significant professional experience in hardware or embedded development, coupled with strong communication and supplier management skills. This full-time, permanent position based in Berlin offers the opportunity to shape high-level visitor experience technology.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in hardware or embedded development
- Experience with Quality Assurance in hardware development
- Experience collaborating with external development and manufacturing partners
- Experience in Product Ownership or technical product responsibility
- Experience steering external partners and suppliers
