Job Summary
This role involves developing, adapting, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs for complex machinery and plant systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating new PLC programs, expanding and modifying existing control systems, and rigorously testing the resulting software. A key component of the job includes diagnosing and troubleshooting errors in PLC controls during operation, conducting machine commissioning, and creating comprehensive technical documentation. This position requires a background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education, coupled with professional experience in programming standard PLC systems (e.g., TIA Portal, Siemens S7, Codesys) and familiarity with common fieldbus systems like Profibus, Profinet, or EtherCAT. The role offers the opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute to complex development projects within the electro- and automation technology sectors.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (Technician certification)
Experience
- Professional experience in PLC control programming (e.g., TIA Portal, Siemens S7, Codesys)
- Experience handling common bus systems like Profibus, Profinet, or EtherCAT
- Experience in conducting commissioning activities within a machine construction environment
