Job Summary
The Test Automation Engineer will join the department responsible for Debeka’s online offerings, including the website, customer portal, and mobile apps. This role is pivotal in ensuring application quality and supporting a high-velocity DevOps collaboration model with short release cycles. Day-to-day responsibilities include the design, creation, execution, and documentation of automated tests, as well as their integration into CI/CD pipelines and the overall software development process. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training, coupled with several years of professional experience using various test and test automation frameworks (e.g., BDD, Cucumber, Playwright, Selenium). Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high degree of curiosity are essential for success in this challenging and rewarding role.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, or comparable qualification. ISTQB certifications are advantageous.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience with test and test automation frameworks
- Practical knowledge in creating test requirements and test cases
- Professional experience in test execution and documentation of tests and bugs
