Job Summary
This role is ideal for an experienced Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical Systems (IC&E/EMSR) Engineer looking to drive the industrialization of cathode material production. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle planning, design, and project management of IC&E systems for new production facilities. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed concepts, specifications, and planning documents; selecting and sizing sensors, actuators, control systems (SPS/DCS), and field devices; and ensuring compliance with critical standards like ATEX, IEC, and functional safety (SIL). You will coordinate closely with internal departments, external service providers, and suppliers, overseeing installation, commissioning, and final acceptance. This position requires strong technical expertise in process engineering plant construction and offers a future-proof, permanent role primarily based in Weimar, with necessary travel to Bitterfeld-Wolfen.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Measurement and Control Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in IC&E technology
- Ideally, professional experience in industrial plant construction
- Experience in planning and designing IC&E systems for process engineering plants
- Experience handling P&ID flow diagrams and creating/checking IC&E documentation
- Experience collaborating with other technical disciplines and external service providers
