Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Hessian Administration for Land Management and Geoinformation (HVBG) in implementing and maintaining its Business Continuity Management (BCM) processes. The officer will be responsible for preparing BCM guidelines, conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments, researching preventive and reactive measures, and drafting business continuity and recovery plans. A key aspect of the role is monitoring the implementation of BCM improvement measures and documenting the BCM framework. The position also includes deputizing for the Business Continuity Officer. This is an attractive opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a background in IT or administration, looking to contribute to critical infrastructure resilience within a stable public sector environment in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor / FH-Diplom) preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a comparable field; or a university degree or qualification as a Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirtin / Verwaltungsfachwirt) combined with equivalent relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience and knowledge in emergency management or Business Continuity Management (BCM) according to BSI Standard 200-4
  • Professional experience in a comparable field if not holding a specific degree
