Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Urban Development/Planning Department in Frankfurt (Oder) by managing and maintaining the municipal Geodata Service, utilizing GIS and CAD systems. Day-to-day tasks include the comprehensive capture, updating, processing, and analysis of static and spatial primary and secondary data within the information system. The specialist will be responsible for visualizing this spatial data, generating static maps and plans from vector and raster data, and converting various data formats for system integration. A significant part of the job involves CAD-supported creation of preliminary and legally binding development plans, as well as informal urban planning based on sketches and specifications. This position requires a qualified Geomatics professional or equivalent, with proven, fundamental knowledge of Geographic Information Systems, offering a permanent, full-time public service role.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Geomatics Specialist or completed comparable qualification demonstrating fundamental knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Experience

  • Professional experience in data capture and updating within information systems
  • Professional experience in processing and analyzing spatial data
  • Professional experience in CAD-supported creation of planning documents
