Job Summary

This role is ideal for an ambitious IT and Data Platform Specialist seeking to enable business departments within the context of IT and Data Science around the central data platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and maintaining connectors for various data sources (relational databases, object storage, streaming systems), performing first-level support for platform components like Kafka and potentially Kubernetes-based applications, and managing the application lifecycle (patching, user administration, incident resolution). The specialist acts as a key interface for cross-departmental communication and external partners, analyzing and advancing the data platform's IT product portfolio. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT background, experience managing complex IT systems, and knowledge of data integration, storage, and platforms like Kafka and Data Lake/Data Warehouse concepts. Proficiency in Linux and basic SQL is required, along with a strong understanding of IT Service Management principles.
