Job Summary

This role involves shaping the digital landscape and driving digitalization within the Information Technology department by focusing on competitive and sustainable IT concepts, particularly in Artificial Intelligence. The Software Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and integrating AI services, optimizing costs and latency, and implementing robust security policies and guardrails. A key part of the job is acting as a sparring partner for Product Owners and business units, conducting feasibility analyses covering technical aspects, effort, data protection, and compliance. Furthermore, the role requires continuous screening of new AI services, frameworks (like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Open-Source models), and deriving actionable recommendations. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, fundamental knowledge of cloud technologies (ideally Azure and/or SAP BTP), and experience in developing AI prototypes and ensuring secure, compliant AI usage in corporate environments.
