Job Summary
This role is for a skilled GIS Software Developer joining S-Management Services GmbH, a specialized service provider for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in Stuttgart. The core focus involves developing and maintaining Geoinformation System (GIS) applications and Web-GIS visualizations, specifically integrating with the ZIMBD system. Day-to-day tasks include implementing robust backend services using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, alongside frontend development utilizing Typescript and React, integrating GIS libraries like Leaflet and Cesium. A key aspect of the role is managing spatial data in both SQL and NoSQL databases and actively participating in containerization, deployment, and operation within cloud environments using Docker and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, GIS-focused Geography, or a related field, possesses practical experience with Web-GIS development, Cloud/DevOps practices, and is proficient in both German and English for technical documentation.

Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Geography with a focus on GIS, or comparable qualifications/training in fields like Meteorology or Archaeology
Experience
- Professional experience with Geoinformation Systems, layers, and weather events
- Practical experience in Web-GIS development
- Practical experience in Cloud/DevOps with container technologies
- Practical experience with spatial databases and data processing
- Experience in the interface between classic GIS development and modern Cloud-Native approaches (advantageous)
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence (advantageous)
