Job Summary
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Operating Room (OR) departments across three hospital locations. The Head of OR Management will be directly accountable to the Executive Board, focusing on optimizing organizational structures, workflows, and process control within the OR areas, while ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and coordinating interfaces with other functional departments. Key responsibilities include quality and personnel management, conducting regular OR conferences, and implementing continuous control systems through performance indicators and reporting. Candidates must possess a background in healthcare or nursing management, coupled with extensive leadership experience in the OR environment, or specialized medical qualifications (e.g., Anesthesia or Surgery) with proven expertise in OR management systems. The successful candidate will drive efficiency and economic viability of the OR program, requiring strong organizational skills, high assertiveness, and excellent communication abilities.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Nursing/Health Management, or equivalent qualification; OR Certified Specialist Nurse for Operations Service or Anesthesia; OR Specialist Physician (Facharzt) in Anesthesia or a surgical discipline, supplemented by proven qualifications in OR Management.
Experience
- Professional experience in a leadership role within the nursing sector, specifically the Operating Room area
- Several years of specialized professional and leadership experience in OR Management (for specialized nurses)
- Several years of professional experience in Anesthesia or a surgical discipline (for specialized physicians)
- Experience in leading and developing an OR Management System/OR Statute
- Familiarity with acute hospital workflows, analysis, and structuring of organizational and process issues
