Job Summary

This role involves administering and developing the critical Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS) for the NAKO Health Study, Germany's largest long-term health research project. Day-to-day responsibilities include the comprehensive administration of the LIMS, managing the supporting Windows and Linux virtual servers accessed by 20 institutes nationwide, and providing essential IT support to 18 study centers regarding LIMS issues. Furthermore, the specialist will collaborate closely with external firms on LIMS enhancements and program internal web applications using Python, SQL, and HTML to streamline data flow. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field, coupled with practical experience in system and database administration. Required Skills

Education
