Job Summary

This role is central to the MEAG-wide, high-quality management of market data contracts and licenses within a major asset management firm belonging to the Munich Re Group. The Market Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance through license management, overseeing existing contracts, and managing external audits. A core focus involves procurement and contract negotiation for financial market data, including handling tenders and maintaining vendor relationships with international data providers. Day-to-day tasks also include requirements management, assessing market data needs from various departments, creating precise specifications, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, the manager will handle budgeting and controlling, planning and monitoring the market data budget, and generating cost analyses and reports aimed at continuous efficiency optimization. This position also actively contributes to projects focused on developing modern data infrastructure and supporting data governance initiatives.
