Job Summary
This challenging role within the Information and Communication (IuK) team of the Rostock Police Inspectorate focuses on ensuring the reliable operation of essential IT systems for law enforcement. Day-to-day tasks involve the installation, administration, and technical support of IT systems and network technology, alongside coordinating with internal and external IT service providers. A critical component is managing the communication infrastructure, including IP, mobile, and digital radio telephony, guaranteeing their technical availability. Furthermore, the specialist contributes to strategic technical documentation, develops and evaluates new IT solutions to enhance security and operational efficiency, and assists in budget planning for the IuK sector. The position requires either existing civil servant status (A9-A11) or a relevant degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications, coupled with significant professional experience in IuK, preparing the incumbent to provide crucial technical support during specific police operations.

Education
Civil servant in the higher General Administrative Service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt); OR (Specialized) University degree (Bachelor level) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a comparable field; OR Completed vocational training in IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics, or a comparable profession
Experience
- Professional experience as a civil servant in the General Administrative Service (A9, A10, or A11)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Information and Communication (IuK)
- At least 2.5 years of professional experience post-graduation (for Bachelor's degree holders)
