Job Summary
This role involves enhancing and expanding a high-performance Linux environment for enterprise and CAE systems, including HPC clusters, crucial for developing world-leading aircraft engines. The System Engineer will collaborate closely with users, IT system operators, and IT security to ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing infrastructure. Key responsibilities include optimizing stability, efficiency, and performance through continuous development, monitoring, installation, updates, and user support. The position requires active participation in developing and implementing technical and organizational processes, providing IT foundations for complex CAE systems, and advising on their usage. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Engineering Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience in Linux and bash
- Expertise in configuration and operation of Linux servers and/or HPC computers
- Experience with virtualization technologies and automation tools (recommended)
- Experience with container orchestration (beneficial)
