Job Summary

This role is for an Embedded Software Developer at ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH, focusing on the complete lifecycle of firmware development for high-tech industrial and automotive clients. The core responsibilities involve developing robust firmware using C and C++ specifically for ARM-based microcontrollers, programming both microcontrollers and Embedded Linux systems, and ensuring high quality through diligent documentation, unit testing, and validation. You will play a key role in both the development of new products and the continuous improvement of existing software platforms. Successful candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Informatics, or Mechatronics, and demonstrate mastery of a common embedded development toolchain. Essential experience includes working with critical automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet, with a preference for candidates who also have experience in Embedded Linux environments.
