Job Summary

This role is for an Expert Assessor focusing on Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) and optical radiation, contributing to safety and sustainability within a leading international service corporation. The professional will be responsible for conducting crucial EMF and optical radiation measurements both domestically and internationally, assessing the impact of sources like high-voltage lines, mobile communication systems, industrial processes, lasers, and UV emitters on humans. Key responsibilities include creating complex computer models of energy technology systems (transformers, overhead lines, substations) and mobile communication antennas to calculate resulting electromagnetic fields. The expert will independently draft professional reports and risk assessments for environmental approval procedures and occupational health and safety, managing projects from quotation to billing, and presenting findings in presentations or mediation processes. This position requires a background in physics or engineering, strong communication skills in German and English, and a willingness to travel for measurements and presentations.

Education

University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable natural or engineering science field

Experience

  • Completed degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable natural or engineering science field
  • Professional experience in developing solutions for challenging tasks
  • Knowledge in energy technology systems, mobile communication, or laser technology (Advantageous)
  • Experience in independent project management and execution
