Job Summary

This critical role involves establishing, steering, and continuously developing the Business Continuity Management (BCM) system and Hospital Alarm and Deployment Planning (KAEP) across a large regional hospital network. The primary objective is ensuring uninterrupted operational capability and patient care during crises and emergencies, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards like BSIG and B3S Health. Day-to-day responsibilities include administratively leading the KAEP working group, updating alarm plans, conducting rigorous Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk analyses, and creating, maintaining, and testing comprehensive emergency and recovery plans. The specialist will also coordinate the emergency organization, manage interfaces with IT and information security, develop necessary policies, and train staff on security risks and emergency scenarios.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Medicine, Nursing, Health Management, or IT; alternatively, relevant vocational training with commensurate professional experience.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the healthcare sector (if alternative vocational training is held)
  • Professional knowledge of processes and workflows within a hospital
  • Knowledge of rescue services or corresponding emergency structures
  • Knowledge of BCM standards (BSI Standard 200-4, ISO 22301 or similar), preferably as an additional qualification
  • Experience in identifying and evaluating time-critical business processes
